Praise for the birth of the Godman!

Hello everyone! I just wanted to take a minute and wish all of you a merry Christmas. Soon we’ll be on the road to Indiana and the hustle and bustle will thus begin.

We pray that all of you have a Christ-exalting, God-glorifying, Spirit-led celebration of the incarnation of Christ the Son. May we all stand in awe of His having come to this lowly earth to take on human flesh and may we continually and humbly exult in the complexity of His dual nature as both God and man.  Indeed it is this very dual nature that makes Him the perfect Savior for sinful humans. As God He’s perfect, holy and sinless…as man He completely understands our every thought and temptation.

(Philippians 2:8-11)  Being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross. For this reason also, God highly exalted Him, and bestowed on Him the name which is above every name, so that at the name of Jesus EVERY KNEE WILL BOW, of those who are in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and that every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

As we gather with our families and enjoy our time together…let us keep our eyes focused on Christ who was born, crucified, dead, buried and is RISEN! Hallelujah! Praise God that He has opened our eyes and shown us that we may see the rest of the story! May we proclaim it to all our family members and see Him as the ultimate gift and treasure.  May our families see our passion for this treasure and long to understand the HOPE we have in  Christ.

May the love of Christ penetrate deeply into the hearts of those with whom we’re surrounded this Christmas. May the Holy Spirit go before us and make ready the soil of their souls for the planting of the gospel of Christ. May the Father water the seeds He uses us to plant for His Word never comes back void. May we be faithful to plant and trust Him to harvest!
